day 401

summer, week 08

31 hours for this week, I'm happy that i was able to adapt and do the 30 hours min. I try to continue my vehicle in sketchup, but i wasn't able to work fast enough to keep going so a started some drone sketches that will go with the vehicle. I like the sketches i did, i tried some different techniques. will finish the robot engineer dude soon. I finised to read ''Imagine fx sci-fi'.

For next week :
- VEHICLE
- read
- finish stuff
- 30 hours (+ 4)

summer, week 07

day 387

summer week 06

I traveled a lot this week, so i came out 2 hours short on the hour count, 28 for this week. I can't say i'm disappointed cause i went to Scott Robertson's workshop, for 2 days. I talked to professional and talked about art for those 2 days, so i did only count 7 hours each day since it was not easy to cunt the hours exactly.

I had an awesome ultimate Frisbee tournament on Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday

worked and travel to Montreal

Monday

Feedback from the week :
I should have completed my 30 hours per week goal, but i can do more for next week since I will not be as busy as this week. I cleared some sketches from my desk top so that's good, but didn't work on my vehicle.

For next week:
- have to finish week 2 (vehicle)
- finish stuff

day 379

summer week 05.

I step back a bit this week but i did around 31 hours.

I read a lot during this week (how to draw and imagine fx sci-fi). I worked mostly on old sketches that I want to finish .

Sunday

I did a sketch, but it's look like I didn't keep it.

Monday

Tuesday

warm up, wet edge brush's kind of fun

work on an old sketch

Wednesday

warm up sketch

Thursday

zbrush warmup

Pretty much done.
Some self critics :
- the anatomy could be better, i see improvement in the face but the hands are not good enough
- the composition feel weird with the light from the fire completely a the left and with the rope hanging
- I liked the process with the colors

process

sketchup is killing me

Friday

sketch, love that brush

Saturday

sketch

rework on an old sketch, still wip

Feedback from the week :
I think i did more thing than last week for the same amount of time, so that's good. I didn't work enough on my vehicle.

For next week:
- finish week 2
- finish robot
- read
- scott's workshop on monday and tuesday :)

day 373

summer, week 4.

I was only able to do a bit more than 30 hours this week. I guess it's a good indication of what the summer will be and i don't really like it. I feel like I wasn't engaged in what i did.

I spent much of my time working on the robot guy and an opaque sketch. I started the second week of the class, but i took must of the time learning sketchup. I did some sketches because of the lack of time...
Opened ''how to draw'' and started to do the exercises in my sketchbook (I will not show them since they are pretty simple/bad).

Sunday

:(

Monday

hate his legs now, but I'll move onto other things for now...

Tuesday

started a anatomy study in zbrush for practice and for reference.
A friend will rig him so i'll be able to pose him the way i want for future projects
For now it's based on Loomis, but i'll mix up some Bridgman into it .

silhouette challenge, silhouette from a friend

Wednesday

starting to build the block model... sketchuup is not easy when you know maya and 3ds max.

-_-

silhouette challenge again, this one is mine

helmet sketches

Thursday

old sketchbook sketch, opaque time

silhouette challenge again, this one is mine

Friday

some new silhouettes for fun

Saturday

can't quite finish it, but for now i'll leave him like this

some work on them

Feedback from the week:
I need to find a way to work faster and finish things in less time because 30 hours a week is not a lot.

For next week:
- need to finish week 2 of kemp's class
- finish robot
- prepare for the Scott Robertson's workshop next week.
- go back to p.r.o.g. and finish him if possible
